What We Mean by “Personal Data”

“Personal Data” (called “personal information” under the CCPA/CPRA) means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a specific person.

Examples include:

  • identifiers such as name, postal address, email address, or phone number;
  • Internet or device identifiers such as IP address, cookie IDs, and mobile‑device IDs;
  • usage statistics like page views, session duration, and referring URL when they can reasonably be linked to you.

We use the term Personal Data throughout this notice with that meaning in mind.

Analytics (Site Kit → Google Analytics)

We gather anonymized usage data—page views, device type, time on site—to understand and improve performance. You can opt‑out with Google’s browser add‑on.

Cookies

We set essential WordPress cookies (for login status and preferences) and analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat). Our CookieYes banner lets you accept, reject, or withdraw consent at any time through the “Manage Cookies” link. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Hosting & Email

Our site is hosted by Flywheel, and form‑notification emails are delivered through Gmail (Google Workspace). Both providers process site data only to provide their services. Flywheel also collects standard server‑log information—such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, and access times—to monitor security, ensure reliable operation, and prevent abuse. These logs are stored for a limited period and are not merged with other data to identify individual visitors.

Embedded YouTube Videos

We embed videos from our own YouTube channel. When you play or interact with an embedded video, YouTube (Google LLC) may collect device information, IP address, and viewing activity in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. We receive no personal data from YouTube—analytics remain on Google’s side.
